Yes, I am a repeat customer. I had a garage door rebuild last year because of a broken spring and liked it so much I signed up to get the other door done even though it wasn't in bad shape. Brian was my technician again (by my request) and he is very efficient and informative. He is a very tidy worker and cleans up all parts. I will have him back whenever I need garage door service again. He did such a good job I don't expect that call will come anytime in the near future. Thanks Brian.

Called them at 12:30 on a Saturday. The technician was here by 4:30. Not only was my problem taken care of but the technician pointed out a couple of areas that could lead to future problems. I'm very happy with the state of the repairs and the expertise of the technician. I will certainly use Precision again.

Not sure why we were asked to place a review, but will take the opportunity to express the below average customer service that we received today. We hired Precision about a month ago for an emergency issue that ended up being two new spring replacements. After the job, we noticed that our door was hitting the center rod as it opened and closed. We don't recall noticing this for the 7+ years that we had our door, but honestly can't say 100%. I called Precision to see if the new springs were installed correctly, figuring it might have been an issue with their install. I was told that the tech that did our spring job would come out and we secured an 8-10am slot, but was assured we had the first appointment so it would be around 8am. I planned to go to work late based on this appointment. Come the day of service call, there was no word from the tech or the office. At 9:15, I decided to call. The operator had to call the tech to find out where he was. She came back onto the line to inform me that he was held up at the office and would be at our house in 60 to 90 minutes. Needless to say, I was not happy, but at this point I was going to be late for work anyway, so I kept the appointment. 70 minutes later I get a call from the tech (who was not the guy that did the initial job) who tells me he is 15-20 minutes away. Great! Nice to feel like the customer's time is actually worth something! He arrives, looks at the garage door and tells me that it could not have been the install of the new springs that were causing the door to hit the center rail. It had to be there before they worked on the job. Since he didn't do the job, how would he know that, but I had no choice but to take him for his word. Of course, they could fix it for me, but at a cost. No thanks! My biggest issue with the poor service is the fact that they were late for the service call and that if it was as cut and dry that this problem could not have been caused by the new spring install, why wouldn't the operator (who claimed it probably just needed an adjustment) check with a tech prior to taking the appointment. It would have save me from wasting a morning and honestly, would have save them a waste of a service call. Would I use them again, I don't know.

Steve. let me start by letting you know how lucky you are to have an employee like Jim Dean, From the time he called my house to confirm he was on the way up until he arrived on time! He was a really sincere gentleman and took the time to answer all my questions in regards to my repair. A true old fashion mechanic! Courteous, & honest. Hold on to this guy, they are few and far between! Now I know in business your always going to have folks that are never happy no matter how good the service you give them??? the Torsion spring broke on Friday afternoon I called 3! Yes 3! garage door companies and all 3 I got a voice recording telling me to leave my info and they would get back to me? I went ahead and did so. having a business of my own, family, priorities call so I went to my chores. on Saturday afternoon next day 24 hrs later? I walked through the door from working an overnighter and asked my wife if any of the garage door companies called back, she said NOPE!!! I then got back to the computer and looked for another company & found yours I got an answer on the 2nd ring a pleasant Young lady who said to me that someone could come out that same day if I wanted. So the rest is all praise for you Sir, This was real Great service. Keep up the good work, stay consistent, and thank you for great service. I should also mention that you gave me a 5 year warranty on parts and labor, & although I can not review the service of that contract yet? I would hope if I needed to exercise this contract you would honor it with no strings attached?? Thank you job well done!!!!

Jim was very professional and got the job done quickly. He also did a little improvement at the top of the garage door. That was all good. My only issue would be Precision's over-the-top rates which are quoted only when the technician arrives. Precision charges something like $87 just for the technician to show up. Because a broken spring situation means your car is trapped in the garage, the customer is therefore trapped as well to accept Precision's rates. Discounts that they apply do bring down the price, which helps, and makes the customer feel they are getting a deal.

I had despaired of ever again being able to open my garage door. My remote was long lost, and the garage-opening mechanism was so old that none of the garage door companies I called had even heard of it. Inside of ten minutes the technician had examined it and made a new remote compatible with my ancient unit. He also examined the unit itself and did some minor repairs (missing/loose screws, etc.) to "tide me over," he said, until I had no choice but to replace the garage door and unit. I know who I'll be calling when that time comes! And guess what--the technician was a happy man, content in his work, who smiled most of the time we were talking. It was a great way to greet Monday morning!
